Our Mission

Sunrise Charity Canteen was established in the spring by Ukrainian volunteer and director Natalia Grama, with tremendous help and support from the head of the executive branch of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Synyehubov, and support from the local community. This initiative provides complimentary meals in Kharkiv and is backed by global donors, including significant contributions from benefactors across the USA and Europe. Thanks to the collaboration of Ukrainian volunteers, the local community, and the generosity of donors, hundreds of residents, especially the elderly and children in the conflict-affected city of Ukraine, receive free meals daily.
Natalia Grama, who was involved in distributing humanitarian aid, opened the complimentary canteen after Ukrainian forces reclaimed territory from Russian soldiers. Natalia, a skilled cook, rallied her volunteer friends to support the initiative by cooking and distributing food.
